Future Ticketing expands English football portfolio with Hartlepool United partnership

Future Ticketing has partnered with English football club Hartlepool United.

Fans of the club, which was recently relegated from League Two to the National League, will be now able to purchase digital tickets thanks to Future Ticketing’s system using a debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

New hardware will also be installed at the turnstiles to allow for the scanning of e-tickets, which will help to reduce queueing for attendees on match days. Hartlepool United will still offer the choice of physical tickets, but will encourage its supporters to utilise the digital option where possible.

Liam Holton, chief executive at Future Ticketing, said: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Hartlepool FC. We share the club’s vision for improving the fan experience at The Suit Direct Stadium.

“Our role will empower the Hartlepool FC ticketing team to take control of its ticketing and provide an easy online purchase journey. On the day fans will have a smooth entry to the ground through digital tickets which sit in the Hartlepool FC app. We’re excited to go on this journey with Hartlepool FC and put fans back at the centre of their ticketing offering.”

Rose Stoker, head of commercial and operations at Hartlepool, added: “We are really pleased to get this partnership live following months of research into various ticketing providers. The club has been working hard to identify a solution for the problems our supporters face before, and especially on a matchday in terms of long queues and the overall ticketing experience.

“Future Ticketing will provide that long overdue solution and we are all really excited to see the benefits, which will form a part in our objective to improve our fan experience.”
