Ticketek strikes long-term Melbourne Racing Club deal

TEG’s Ticketek has sealed a five-year agreement with Melbourne Racing Club (MRC), host of the Caulfield Cup Carnival.

The deal was announced to coincide with the release of tickets on general sale for the 2023 edition of the carnival, which will span race days on October 14, 18 and 21, as well as November 18 and December 2.

MRC said that the partnership with Ticketek “is set to revolutionise Caulfield Racecourse into a world-class racing, events and entertainment precinct, with 2023 Caulfield Cup Carnival expected to be bigger and better than ever”.

“Our partnership will provide MRC customers with a seamless user-friendly experience from the moment of purchase to stepping through the racecourse gates,” Ticketek managing director Cameron Hoy said. “Customers can look forward to world-class content, exclusive access to premium racing and non-racing events and entertainment across all three MRC venues.”

The racetrack offers premium experiences via a Champagne House, Bar Aperitivo and The Avenue, as well as a general admission area.

MRC chairman Matt Cain added: “From the heroes of the home straight to playful fashion that celebrates all genders and looks, a multitude of trackside experiences and unbeatable hospitality will keep racegoers entertained throughout the day. Even waiting in line for a drink will become an unforgettable experience for racegoers, with fascinating art displays, roaming performances, and more.”
