Horse Racing Ireland opts for Future Ticketing

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) has announced a new partnership with digital ticketing company Future Ticketing, which will provide admission, customer engagement and events solutions across its four racecourses.

HRI’s four racecourses at Fairyhouse, Leopardstown, Navan and Tipperary will benefit from Future Ticketing’s software solutions, which will enable HRI to accelerate the digital transformation of its venues.

Future Ticketing is an Irish company and has provided online ticketing to a number of racecourses in Ireland, the UK and the US and is continuing its expansion in Europe. In 2022, Future Ticketing will have provided ticketing solutions for over 1,000 race meetings in Ireland and the UK.

Other partnerships with racetracks include Curragh, Galway and Punchestown in Ireland.

Future Ticketing also operates in other sports, events, shows, festivals and works with venues and attractions. It has partnerships with Irish club Connacht Rugby; League of Ireland Premier Division football club Shamrock Rovers; English Championship club Wigan Athletic; Scottish Premiership clubs Dundee United and St. Mirren; ice hockey franchise Cardiff Devils; Basketball Ireland; rugby league club Wigan Warriors; Balmoral Show; Irish actor Pat Shortt and Irish singer Tommy Fleming.

Paul Dermody, chief executive of HRI Racecourses, said: “On behalf of HRI Racecourses, I am delighted to launch this partnership with Future Ticketing. We look forward to having full control and visibility over all elements of our ticketing, hospitality management, seating plans and more importantly for all our racegoers to purchase tickets online with ease and confidence.

“We’ve been very impressed by the software and growth of Future Ticketing in both the Irish and UK racing sectors and this partnership is an important step in our commitment to improving the customer experience for racegoers.”

Liam Holton, chief executive of Future Ticketing, added: “As society and the economy begins to normalise and reopen once again, those businesses who are investing in digital transformation are seeing the greatest benefits as customers of all demographics shift their consumer patterns online.

“Future Ticketing is now the clear leader in Ireland and as we steadily grow our profile in the UK, we are looking forward to seeing large attendances at racetracks everywhere once again.”
