RocketRez acquires TourOppGo! to enhance guest experience platform

RocketRez, a ticketing and business operations software platform, has acquired TourOpp Go!, technology that has been designed to automate SMS communication between tourist attractions and ticket buyers.

Following the acquisition, RocketRez will integrate the AI-driven communication technology into its ticketing and operations platform for mid-market tours and attractions. The move will help to make improvements to the recently released customer-facing Guest Experience Portal RocketPass.

TourOpp Go! is utilised by a number of tour and attraction operators that are looking to maximise revenue per guest, influence positive reviews and decrease costs related to customer service.

RocketPass is a mobile QR code ticket that also acts as a digital wallet, allowing visitors to make purchases on site, including retail, concessions, parking and supplementary tickets.

The pass gives operators an insight into data captured from each digital touchpoint, and also enables them to send real-time communications based on the customer’s location and what they’re doing at that moment.

Daniel Pino, founder and chief executive of TourOpp Go!, said: “We’ve been an integrated partner with RocketRez for some time and share clients who are benefitting from our services. he success we’ve seen from our mutual clients tells us that there is much more to gain from our services being combined as a unified package of ticketing, communication, and guest experience.”

John Pendergrast, CEO of RocketRez, added: “Communication between attractions operators and guests on-site is an integral part of creating an unforgettable guest experience. The combination of real-time communication and a mobile guest experience portal provides top attractions with data and opportunities that they have never had before. We’re focused on tours and attractions who want to create unforgettable experiences led by technology and data.”

Last month, it was revealed that RocketRez had closed a $15m (£12.5m/€14m) Series B funding round with growth capital firm, Level Equity.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
