Tech Stack: SoundCloud, AI, India’s new ticketing app and more…

Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries…

SoundCloud

Music streaming platform SoundCloud has launched a new product called ‘Fans’ – which is currently in the beta stage – on its SoundCloud for Artists service. The ‘Fans’ product will help artists discover their most valuable fans on SoundCloud, gaining access to data from Fan Powered Royalties, engagement data and user reach. Artists will also be able to sort their most engaged fans based on indicators such as comments, listening behaviour, sharing habits and more.

Using Artificial Intelligence

FEVO, a social commerce technology company, has announced the launch of an AI (Artificial Intelligence) beta for its social commerce and ticketing platform. The AI toolkit will leverage large language models (LLMs) to enhance FEVO’s enterprise platform for merchants and improve efficiency. FEVO chief executive and founder Ari Daie said: “Our mission is to make our clients’ lives easier, and enabling AI on our platform will give them hours back in their day, allowing them to create differentiated campaigns at scale in seconds.

“Not only will this drive sales and efficiency – it also means more time to focus on the things that only a human can accomplish, like cultivating relationships with customers, partners and investors. And for the consumers, we’ll leverage AI to make their transactions and interactions with the brands we service more intuitive, fun and seamless. Combined, these innovations will have multiplier effects on loyalty, revenue and consumer satisfaction.”

India’s new ticketing app

Tickets99 has launched its ticketing app in India to provide event organisers and users with a reliable and secure ticketing solution. The app has removed platform booking fees, and will offer rewards and cash backs that are redeemable on future events. The app has also helped to digitise the check-in process with the company’s Biz ID QR codes and will also offer users real-time push notifications to stay up-to-date.

Web3 partnerships

MetaWorks Platforms, a Web3 company that owns and operates blockchain platforms in the entertainment technology space, has revealed that the recent FreakNik Festival documentary taping was a success, with thousands of new digital wallets created for attendees. MetaWorks’ MusicFX partnered with promotional and events company After 9 Partners to be the official ticketing, wallet and NFT partner for the event. It also provided digital ticketing and created a collectible FreakNik Festival proof of attendance NFT (non-fungible token) for guests who attended the festival.
