Future Ticketing has partnered with Cambridge Rugby, which recently claimed the National League 1 title and gained promotion to the Championship for the first time.
Championship Rugby is the second tier of English men’s rugby union, with winners of the league promoted to the Premiership.
Liam Holton, Future Ticketing chief executive, said: “Future Ticketing is an industry leader and our commitment to ongoing innovation means we are perfectly placed to provide Cambridge with the all-round service it needs across all its activities.
“Our digital ticketing app will ensure a smooth and comfortable match-day experience for Cambridge Rugby fans but we are especially pleased to be associated with club events like its upcoming Summer Ball on June 17.”
He added: “We will build a strong bond with the club and like all involved with Cambridge Rugby, we cannot wait for the Championship kick-off in September at Volac Park.”
Rob Dean, chairman at Cambridge Rugby, said: “In Future Ticketing, we believe we have found a partner that will support our growth and engagement commercially as we look to build our customer and fan experience of not just our match days, but our wider club events as well. We look forward to working with them to develop our online ticket and hospitality sales, and deepening engagement with old and new fans.”
Future Ticketing also recently announced a partnership with English football club Hartlepool United.
