The Art Gallery of NSW has introduced new ticketing technology ahead of the Sydney International Art Series exhibition Matisse: Life & Spirit, Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou, Paris.
TixTrack provided its Ticketure software which allows visitors to easily book tickets for exhibitions and events at the art gallery in a quick and simple fashion. Ticketure is an API-based, mobile-first ticketing management solution designed for general admission, as well as timed entry, for events and exhibitions.
Miranda Carroll, Art Gallery of NSW director of public engagement, said: “The implementation of TixTrack’s Ticketure software will ensure the Art Gallery of New South Wales has a fit-for-purpose, adaptable and sustainable technology solution.
“Importantly, we will now have flexibility to meet our changing needs into the future.”
The solution is already utilised by galleries around the world including Chicago’s The Museum of Science and Industry, The Broad in Los Angeles and the newly opened Academy Museum of Motion Picture, also in LA.
The Art Gallery of NSW is the first museum in Australia to implement the Ticketure software.
