Eventim Live Asia has appointed Samantha Tzovolos as managing director and Mike Galt as senior vice-president, touring.
Eventim Live Asia is the new venture from entertainment company CTS Eventim and has brought in Tzovolos and Galt to grow within the Asian market.
Tzovolos has held the role of chief executive of independent live entertainment company TEM for the past decade, which is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. She will continue to run the company while working with Eventim Live Asia, and will be based in Singapore.
Galt will continue to be based in London and was most recently the vice-president of talent and touring for Live Nation Entertainment.
Eventim Live Asia CEO Jason Miller said: “These two appointments reflect Eventim Live Asia’s commitment to providing touring artists with the absolute strongest experience and deepest relationships in Asia.
“ELA is thrilled to welcome Samantha and Mike to the team. They will provide enormous unmatchable value to artists looking to tour the region.”
Elsewhere, AEG Presents has announced multiple new appointments and promotions across its global touring and talent division.
Amy Buck has been promoted to senior director of marketing, while Adam Cohen has become director of touring.
Dan Cleff and Nicole Dellarocca have been made director of ticketing and Shelby Moran has been brought in as director of artist development from Warner Music Nashville.
Brittanie Delava and Jonathan Ramos have been named as vice-presidents of global touring and talent, with Ramos joining the company recently from Ink Entertainment Group. Lindsay Dworman has been promoted to director of touring.
ASM Global has announced that Dan Harris will join Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai as commercial director.
Harris has more than 20 years of live events and entertainment industry experience and has held a number of roles within ASM Global’s UK portfolio.
The appointment follows the promotion of Mark Jan Car, who assumed his new general manager role at the Dubai venue in June 2021.
Guillem Graell Alabern has announced that he has left Spanish football club, FC Barcelona. He was the chief marketing officer and director of brand, digital, Barça Studios and ticketing at the club.
He spent five seasons with the Spanish LaLiga giants and wrote on LinkedIn: “After five seasons leading the Barça brand team at FC Barcelona, my journey ended a few months ago. Looking back, I am extremely proud of an incredible team that managed a world-leading transformation of how the club manages and grows its brand and the relationship with its global fans, creating the revenue streams of the future of sports.”
