FIFA, football’s global governing body, is offering fans the chance to grab tickets for this year’s World Cup in Qatar, following the conclusion of the initial sales period.
The first sales phase, which saw a random selection draw take place, has ended with remaining tickets from this phase now on sale. Tickets will remain on sale until March 29.
The sales period will act on a first-come first-served basis, with fans able to complete their ticketing purchases immediately. This is the last opportunity for fans to secure their seats ahead of the final draw, which will see increased demand due to revealed match-ups.
Tickets will be made available for all matches, excluding the opening game and the tournament final.
International fans will have the chance to purchase individual match tickets, a team-specific ticket series to watch a team through the tournament, a four-stadium ticket series to watch four different matches across numerous locations and accessibility tickets.
A further ticketing sales phase will begin following the final draw on April 1.
Qatari residents have exclusive access to a special price category – category four – with prices starting as low as QAR 40 (£8/€10/$11).
After purchasing match tickets, fans will be able to book accommodation and apply for a Hayya Card, which will be needed to enter stadiums and will double as an entry permit for international fans travelling to Qatar.
