Live Nation’s Ones To Watch online artist discovery platform has launched in Hong Kong.
Following a successful run in Australia and New Zealand, the platform has now launch in Hong Kong to showcase the local emerging talent. It will enable musicians to connect with fans and provide a boost to their budding careers, with the support of the entertainment giant’s global network.
Ones To Watch was first launched in the US in 2017 and is dedicated to introducing new artists and their music to fans. It includes exclusive interviews, playlists, live performances and other interactive content.
The platform has played a role in kickstarting some of the current most popular global artists including Dua Lipa, Halsey, Yungblud and LANY.
Not only does Ones To Watch exist as a digital platform, but also incorporates live performances. Ones To Watch Hong Kong recently held its first live showcase event at 852 Awaken Festival – an experience that combines music, culture, lifestyle, design and art.
The three-day festival was held at the AsiaWorld-Expo on August 12-14.
Joanna Yuen, managing director of Live Nation Hong Kong, said: “At Live Nation we are committed to supporting emerging local artists, bringing the best new talent to Hong Kong music fans.
“The Ones To Watch program plays an important role in Hong Kong by providing a platform that focuses on the professional development of homegrown acts, providing them with new audiences and launching them on to an international stage.”
