Not-for-profit service organisation dedicated to performing arts, TDF, is set to reopen its Lincoln Center TKTS booth next week.
The New York ticketing booth has been closed since March 13, 2020 when Broadway shut its doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
TKTS offers discounted tickets to same-day theatre productions on Broadway, off-Broadway and to performances at the Lincoln Center. Following its reopening on September 6, the ticketing booth will be open from Tuesday until Saturday between 11am and 6pm.
The main TKTS booth, which is located in Times Square, will remain open seven days a week. TDF, formerly known as Theatre Development Fund, has said that it will reopen the booth due to a growing demand for theatre tickets.
Michael Naumann, TDF’s managing director, said: “All of us at TDF are excited to reopen TKTS Lincoln Center so we can once again serve local residents and visitors eager to get the best prices and locations to Broadway, Off-Broadway and Lincoln Center performances.
“The demand for tickets has been growing at our Times Square location as folks return to the theatre, so we felt this was the right time to reopen our satellite booth.”
Theatre fans will be able to snap up tickets for matinee or evening shows, or even shows the next day, with discounts of up to 50%.
