Formula 1’s Australian Grand Prix has sold out grandstand and park pass tickets for race day, just hours after going on sale.
The race weekend will take place between March 30 and April 2, with over 130,000 expected to watch the race on the Sunday.
Tickets went on sale today (Tuesday) and were snapped up in just three hours.
Park passes are still available for sessions on Thursday to Saturday, and Friday grandstand tickets are selling quickly according to organisers. Hospitality tickets are still available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Formula 1 has continued to grow in popularity, in part thanks to the Netflix series ‘Drive to Survive’. Fans in Australia also have a strong hunger for the motorsport, after the races in 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Australian Grand Prix organisers have also recently announced the redesign of grandstands to hold more people, following the record crowd of 419,114 at the race earlier this year.
All grandstands at Albert Park, Melbourne were reshuffled by the Australian Grand Prix Corporation to cater for more fans at next year’s race.
