See Tickets’ website suffered outages last week as tens of thousands of festival and gig fans attempted to purchase tickets for multiple events.
Over 27,000 people signed up for Kendal Calling’s pre-sale after the event’s line-up – which features the likes of Kasabian, Royal Blood, Blossoms and more – was announced. This is more than double the number of tickets that were available.
A second line-up announcement from NASS festival also compounded issues as overwhelming traffic was driven to the site.
On the same day, Sound City Liverpool revealed its Saturday headliner The Reytons, and gigs from the likes of The National and Pierce The Veil at Alexandra Place also went on sale on the See Tickets platform.
Kendal Calling organisers said at the time: “We’re aware of the ticket issues going on. Tickets are selling, please be patient and keep trying. See Tickets are working to get people through faster.”

Alexandra Palace also said on Friday: “Apologies again for the issues this morning but we are back up and running, and very excited to announce an extra The National show.”
The venue had been advising fans to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, after See Tickets suffered a site-wide crash.
Further tours from bands and artists such as The Clause, The Lottery Winners and Le Tigre also went on sale on Friday morning, drawing in more buyers and adding to the pressure on See Tickets’ servers.
