Tech Stack: Ticketing rewards, commemorative tickets and more…

Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries…

NFT Ticketing

Rev3al, a provider of digital anti-counterfeiting, copyright protection and cybersecurity technology, has ventured into the world of NFT (non-fungible tokens) ticketing.

The platform hopes to combat different ticket scams, from selling counterfeits to stolen tickets. Scam artists traditionally pose as genuine online sellers or through classified ads, advertising cheap tickets or access to sold-out events.

Rev3al technology aims to protect creators, brands, IP owners and collectors through the blockchain. Buyers and sellers are also protected within Rev3al’s ecosystem, which assures trademarks, authentic designs and NFT ticket holders.

Rev3al leverages decentralisation to allow users to preserve the digital license to their tickets, making it difficult for fraudsters to sell their tickets to anyone else.

Reward4Waste

Water brand Evian is using this year’s Wimbledon Championships to reward consumers for recycling.

During Wimbledon, visitors have had a chance to secure two tickets to the 2023 women’s final as a reward for recycling their Evian water bottles.

Tennis fans are able to scan the unique QR code on the recycling points and scan the barcode on Evian drinks containers to be entered into the draw to win the tickets.

Streaming events

AI-automated sports video and analytics solution provider Pixellot has partnered with Jewish sports organisation Maccabi World Union, to stream events, games and matches at the upcoming Maccabiah Games.

The multi-sport tournament will run from July 12-26 across Israel in Jerusalem, Haifa and Netanya.

The 14-day tournament will cover 42 sports, held across 30 different venues in the different cities.

Commemorative tickets

Cricket fans attending the upcoming T20 international between England and India at the Ageas Bowl will be able to create their own personalised commemorative ticket, through the Hampshire Cricket App.

In partnership with fan engagement platform, Filmily, fans can create a digital commemorative ticket by downloading the app, and selecting the option to create the memento.
