Ed Sheeran has announced the details of his North American tour for 2023, which will begin at AT&T Stadium Arlington in Texas next May.

The ‘Mathematics’ world tour will feature 21 dates at huge stadiums across the US and Canada, with support acts including Khalid, Dylan, Rosa Linn, Cat Burns, Maisie Peters and Russ. The North American leg concludes on September 23 at SoFi Stadium, California.

Depeche Mode is to play its first dates in five years after announcing its new album. The Memento Mori Tour will support the band’s forthcoming 15th studio album, Memento Mori, due out in spring 2023.

Dave Gahan and Martin Gore revealed that the Live Nation-presented tour will begin with a limited series of North American arena dates starting March 23, before the band heads to Europe for its summer stadium tour. These limited North American dates will feature stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Chicago’s United Center, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, among others.

The band will then begin its European stadium tour on May 16, with noted stops including the Stade de France in Paris, Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, Milan’s San Siro Stadium, and London’s Twickenham Stadium.

The band’s most recent outing, the 2017-2018 Global Spirit Tour, was its longest to date and was one of the year’s highest grossing tours, with the band playing to more than three million fans over the course of 130 shows across Europe and North America.

British rock band Arctic Monkeys has announced a North American tour for summer 2023.

The 22-date tour begins at Minneapolis’ The Armory on August 25 and concludes at Kia Forum in California on September 29.

Lizzo has shared details of UK and European dates for her ‘The Special Tour’ in 2023.

The pop star, who this week kicked off the tour in North America, will play 15 dates across Europe and the UK next year. The leg begins at Oslo’s Spektrum on February 17 before wrapping at The O2 in London on March 15, with tickets on sale from Friday, October 7.

Rugby League World Cup 2021 has revealed that the Kaiser Chiefs will be the headline music act as part of the Official Tournament Welcome event at St James’ Park, Newcastle on October 15.

The band will perform on the pitch at the home of Newcastle United just before the opening fixture of the tournament between England and Samoa kicks-off at 2.30pm.

RLWC2021 revenue director Mick Hogan said: “We’ve said all along that the opening game is going to be pretty special – and who better than the Kaiser Chiefs to get the party started in that stadium. The award-winning band has an amazing back catalogue, and I can’t wait to see a huge crowd in Newcastle singing along to what is sure to be a brilliant set.”

The 1975 will take its ‘At Their Very Best’ tour to Australia and New Zealand in April 2023.

The band will kick off the run of dates at Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium on April 8, with shows in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney following before the Australian leg of the tour wraps up at Riverstage in Brisbane on April 15. The 1975 will then head to New Zealand to perform at Wellington’s TSB Arena and Auckland’s Spark Arena.
