The Australian Football League (AFL) has announced a price freeze on tickets for all matches at all venues in Victoria across weeks one to three of the 2022 Toyota AFL Finals Series.
Prices for weeks one and two have already been frozen since 2019, while week three will now be frozen at 2021 prices. Entry level reserved seats for weeks one and two will remain at $35 and week three prices will remain at $65.
The League also confirmed that entry level tickets for the AFL Grand Final have also been frozen for a fourth consecutive year, at A$185, while there will be a 3% increase on all other categories compared to the 2019 AFL Grand Final.
AFL executive general manager customer and commercial Kylie Rogers said: “Footy’s bounce back this season and has been nothing short of phenomenal, with over 1.2 million members and 5.48 million fans attending the matches around the country.
“With this in mind, our commitment remains to keep finals footy prices as an affordable option and thank the members and fans who have stuck by their clubs this season.”
The AFL also confirmed its Grand Final ticketing structure, with competing club members set to receive the biggest allocation of tickets at 34,000 (17,000 tickets each). MCC Members, AFL and Medallion Club Members, stakeholders and premium hospitality guests will receive the second-largest allocation.
Ticket onsale dates will be announced in the coming weeks, with members granted first access to finals tickets.
The Grand Final will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on September 24.
